In recent news, Johnny Pizarro, a crew member working for “Law & Order: Organized Crime” was shot to death at the TV show’s Brooklyn set. The incident took place on Tuesday, July 19, 2022. According to officials, Johnny was just sitting in the driver’s seat of a 2008 red Honda Civic and had just started his shift when a man opened the car’s door and blasted him. It has also come to the front that he was smoking weed with a colleague before he was gunned down. Check further details of the matter here.
According to reports, Johnny had earned the nickname “J-Smack” among friends for his love of the newly legal drug. The authorities stated that they found prepackaged and vacuumed sealed bags of marijuana in his possession. The investigation into the case soon got started after Johnny was fatally shot.
However, the investigators have not found the motive behind the killing of the 31-year-old father who was shot dead in his 2008 red Honda Civic on North Henry Street in Greenpoint at around 5:15 AM on Tuesday. Cops are not ruling anything out whether the shooting stemmed from a parking dispute, a domestic, or even a case of mistaken identity.
A colleague reported the shooting incident to the detectives. He told them that the pair had smoked weed together after Pizarro first arrived for his shift as a parking attendant. Reportedly, the pair were saving parking spots for the film crews’ trucks so that they can use them later.
After smoking, the pair went back to sit in their own vehicles. Pizarro’s colleague added that he immediately called 911 after finding the former in his car suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. As per reports, Pizarro was shot in the neck and face. Cops stated that he was pronounced dead at Woodhull Medical Center before 6 AM.
As already mentioned, the officials found some weed inside a “Law & Order” themed tote bag inside Johnny’s car after the shooting. Johnny’s friends set up a makeshift memorial at the scene of Tuesday’s gruesome slaying complete with flowers, dozens of colored candles, beers, and bottles of Hennessy.
His love for weed gave him the nickname of J-Smack. It has come forward that Pizarro had an arrest record for prior marijuana busts. However, he has been out of trouble since 2015. Reportedly, Johnny was once arrested for DWI in the 75th Precinth. Stay connected with us for more such kinds of news and updates.
