9-1-1 Spoilers about season 6 episode 99-1-1 Season 6 will be affected by a massive death going forward. Entering the mid-season finale with new episodes in the spring, 9-1-1 ruled a little lightness and self-interest. The team pranked one of its members as they dealt with increasingly bizarre cases, including a woman driving naked while sleepwalking. But on a much more somber note, Bobby (Peter Krause) has dealt with a huge loss that could potentially define the series when he returns, as Bobby alludes to in his opening narration.

He is a successful person when he has a plan and a focus. Knowing that there is something wrong with the story he is told helps him focus. That’s what we’ll see in the back half – a focused Bobby trying to solve this mystery.
Why Was Wendell’s Death Important to Bobby’s Journey?
While it is true that Wendell’s death came to light out of the blue, it is positioned as important to Wendell’s future. 9-1-1. The mid-season finale ends with Bobby tracking down the couple he believes may be responsible for his sponsor’s death, continuing the show’s characters’ habit of doubling down as mystery solvers. But it’s also deeper than that – Bobby has struggled with sobriety his entire life, and while audiences have seen quite a bit of it, the character’s relationship with Wendell is something of an unknown. According to Reidel’s statements, it seems to be the second half of the year. 9-1-1 it will fix it.
Despite preliminary evidence to the contrary, it may be interesting that Wendell’s death turns out to be a tragic accident, exactly as it initially seemed.
